Amani Therapy
There is Both Profound Peace and Power in Being Seen and Heard - Authentically.
Amani Therapy offers psychotherapy for adults (18+) living in Ontario, Canada—especially the over thinkers, cycle-breakers, recovering perfectionists, and the “I’ll just do it myself” crowd.
First things first: therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s defined by you. You're the expert on your own lived experience. I’m just here to walk beside you with curiosity, compassion, and the occasional gentle nudge.
Whether you're learning to identify your needs for the first time, working on self-compassion, or trying to cope with residue of past memories, we’ll go at your pace. Therapy can be equal parts beautiful and uncomfortable, but growth often lives in that in-between space.
Together, we may untangle the old patterns, quiet the inner critic, and explore what it might feel like to attend to yourself with a bit more kindness.
Being a human is messy. You don’t have to do it alone.

Psychotherapy
At this time we are offering individual psychotherapy services (in person and virtually) to clients living in Ontario, Canada

Individual Psychotherapy
If you've ever said, “I should be fine,” while very much not being fine, you’re in the right place.
At Amani Therapy, we offer psychotherapy that’s real, compassionate, and sometimes beautifully messy, the kind that makes space for both your breakdowns and your breakthroughs. We won’t rush your process or toss you a worksheet and call it a day.
Whether you're unlearning people-pleasing, softening your hyper-independence, navigating parenthood without losing yourself, or just trying to feel less a shell of a human. We’ll work together, at your pace, with curiosity, honesty, and probably a few laughs along the way.
You bring your full, imperfect, figuring-it-out self.
We’ll bring the tea, tissues, and therapeutic tools.
Let’s get to work (or rest).
Amani (a . MON . ee)
“Amani” is a Swahili word representing peace, calm and tranquility. This word is not only linguistically beautiful, but represents a state that as humans we are often searching for amidst the chaos of daily life. In our pursuit of calm, we turn to distractions and escapism.
Finding peace in therapy will look different for everyone. It may look like the ability to make space for emotions non-judgmentally or giving yourself permission to be gentle with yourself. When we learn how to hold our emotions, our emotions let go of their hold on us.
When we cultivate peace in our minds, we find that there is less to escape from.
